With the Bavarian Oberland Railway goes from Munich main station within less than an hour to Lenggries. A ski bus drives to the valley station Lenggrieser station. The Bayerische Oberlandbahn departs every hour from Munich main station (stand: 2013).
From the motorway A8 or A9 to Munich. From Munich via the motorway a99 / A8 exit "Holzkirchen", from here via the Federal road B 13 via bad Tölz and Lenggries. Follow the signs to the mountain railway in Lenggries. 4,000 free parking directly next to the valley station (stand: 2013).

The ski resort of Brauneck in Lenggries features with 34 kilometres of pistes of all difficulty levels of skiing for everyone: 8 km blue (easy), red (medium) 22 km and 4 km black (difficult).
The blue slopes is confined mostly to a few beginner lifts located near the valley station of the Brauneck. Here - at the so-called "Streidlhang" - the night skiing takes place from Wednesday until Saturday. Night skiing under floodlights are possible between 19:00 and 22:00 h depending on appropriate snow conditions of course.
Driving with the Brauneck gondola to 1,556 metres high-altitude mountain station, expect the skiers not only many red and black slopes (incl. 6 km downhill to Lenggries Wegscheid), but also a great panoramic restaurant with a breathtaking view all over Valley, on the angle of ISAR, as well as the surrounding mountains of the Karwendel mountains. Prices correspond to the usual level of price in such dining establishments, they are rather low.
All slopes are very well marked and well prepared. The individual lifts are clearly signposted, so that one is hardly can proceed.
In the Valley, near the valley station, you will find several ski schools, ski hire and ski service, whatsoever (grow, Sharpen edges, etc.). Also available for fans of cross-country skiing directly in Lenggries total 42 km tracks available (at close range it over 100 km), of which 2 km floodlit illuminated.

South of Munich and just 10 km from Lenggries is located 30 miles the district Bad Tölz. Here, especially the market street is interesting, with the houses of the Tölzer patrician families, all of which are decorated with murals (Lüftlmalerei). Also the old town hall and much more.
The Bavarian metropolis and capital of the country Munich is only a hour's drive (or an hour on the train) from Lenggries. Here you will find everything, the shopping heart desires, from department stores, fashion business, jewelers, really leather goods to high-quality designer pieces.
Bad Tölz was once a center of brewing. But none of the original 22 Breweries still exists. The last Castle in 2005. A few years ago beer in bad Tölz brewed but again, namely the "Mühlfeldbräu". The beer is served exclusively in the restaurant "Guest House"
