Bergen is accessible from Munich Hauptbahnhof or Salzburg Hauptbahnhof by regional trains. Munich Hauptbahnhof is well connected to the German ICE network, and thus, reachable easily from all over Germany. From Bergen station take a cab to the valley station.
Get to Bergen by taking the highway A8 from Munich to Salzburg (or vice versa). Take the exit "Bergen" and head to "Bad Adelholzen/Vachendorf". Follow the signposts to the ski resort.
The next airport is Salzburg Airport in Austria, approx. 35 km away from Bergen. Take the bus no. 2, heading to "Salzburg Obergnigl" and exit at Salzburg Hauptbahnhof (Salzburg Main Station). Here take the regional express heading to Munich and exit at Bergen.
Between late December and mid March, 09 am - 04 pm
The ski resort "Hochfelln" in Bergen in the Chiemgrau area offers slopes for all: beginners, intermediates as well as experts. Have an astonishing view over the entire Chiemgau area from above!
The Hochfelln is the "house mountain" of the area round around the Chiemsee in Upper Bavaria. Alltogether the resort offers 7 km of slopes: 2 km easy, 2 km intermediate, 3 km heavy. 7 lifts (2 cable cars, 5 t-bars/button lifts and 1 rope tow) transport you to heights between 589 and 1,674 meters. The valley run is really steep and a challenge for skiing adepts.
Even though the ski resort seems to be small (and to be honest: it IS small), it offers plenty of fun away from the hustle and bustle of the big resorts. The slopes are well prepared every morning, and a total of four huts serve you with drinks and food, snacks or a final beer before you take the valley run or alternatively the cable car which goes towards the valley.
There's a ski school directly beside the valley station, offering courses for kids and adults, ski as well as snowboard. Group lessons and private lessons are possible. A shop for renting skis and ski boots is available as well, so there's no need to bring your own equipment.
If you prefer cross-country skiing, there are 13 km of ski-tracks available (each with classical or skating style). One of the tracks (3 km) is illuminated with flood lights.
Escape Address: Maria-Eck-Straße 8, 83346 Bergen im Chiemgau, Bergen im Chiemgau, Bavaria, Germany
