You can approach Görlitz via A13 and B115 from Berlin. If you are coming from the South the highway A4 also leads you to Görlitz.
The bus 139 or the tram 2 and 3 will take in only 5 minutes from the Görlitz train station to Jägerkaserne which is the inner city of Görlitz.
The airport Dresden is only one hour away from Görlitz. You can reach it from the airport via the highway A4.

The city is located on the Lusatian Neisse in Saxony, which forms there since 1945, the border with Poland. Görlitz was almost completely spared from destruction during World War II. A very famous sight in Görlitz is the St. Peters Church. This church is an outstanding example of a Gothic five nave hall-type church, which was built in 1423-97. In the fire 1691, the inventory was destroyed, after which the church, was refurbished in the Baroque style.
