From Berlin central station you can take the Regional-Express (RE) and drive directly to Schwedt/Oder. From there it is only 10 minutes walk to the tourist-information, where you get all the important data for the National Park.
Take the A11 motorway and exit Joachimsthal. Further on the B2 over Angermünde and at the rotary traffic behind Dobberzin drive straight on the L284 towards Schwedt.
Lower Oder Valley National Park- explore the only floodplain National Park in Germany. It's a living environment for many rare or protected plants and animals. Find you adventure in nature in its pure form!!!
A great attraction for visitors are the white storks, which nest on the roofs of the surrounding villages. Sometimes you can find the very rare black storks, of which are currently 3-5 breeding pairs.
As permanent types you can observe beaver, otter and sea-egales. Primarily the National Park is known as a breeding, roosting an wintering area for birds.
There are some guided walking or cycling tours, with the starting point in the city of Schwedt/Oder. The park has a 200km long network of trails, 52 marked cycling and hiking trails and 3 climbs with panoramic views. A specialty in this park is that you can use a charabanc to explore the environment and in summer they offer canoe-tours.
Nearby it's possible to visit the remains of the castle Stolpe. From the foot of the castle ruins there is a beautiful view of the Lower Oder Valley.

Donkey-tours!!! Traveling with donkeys is just fun. Especially suitable for children, because they can enjoy it to lead a donkey or even to sit on it. That makes the walking tours more exciting.
Near the city of Schwerin you can visit the former Cistercian-monastery Chorin. Today it's one of the oldest and most magnificent brick-gothic in Northern Germany. In summer, the famous Chorin Music-Summer takes place there.
