The Barefoot Path Bad Orb (Barfußpark Bad Orb) is Germany's longest barefoot path. It offers very special recreational fun for the whole family and combines sports, health and affinity with nature as well.
The 4.5 km long circuit trail offers a lot of different undergrounds like sand, rocks, mud, water, grass, gravel and a mixture of all. Forest floor or mulch, straw or hay, trunks ... all is possible. Balancing exercises or "sensual stations" (to feel different materials) complete the experience and diversify it.
Going barefoot keeps the heart healthy, helps the circulation and restores the balance between body and soul. Walking barefoot has a relaxing effect and strengthens the leg muscles.
Be aware that you shouldn't wear your glad rags while being here. Even though there is always an opportunity to clean your feet after a mud section (a creek for instance or something similar), but your clothes could be affected almost sure.
There are numerous opportunities to have a break and eat and drink. At the end of the trail there is a kiosk as well, so it's not necessary to bring your own food and drinks.
If you want to book a guided tour – this is possible as well. Professional guides are available for 2-3 hours tours. And if you are a group of people (between 5 and 80 persons): there are individual tour offers for groups available.
In a résumé, the Barefoot Path in Bad Orb (Barfußpark Bad Orb) offers an interesting and extraordinary experience for both kids and adults ... and lots of fun!
