Schlachtensee has it´s own S-Bahn Station. For this reason it is to be reached extremely easily with the public transportation means. Just take the S1 from Hauptbahnhof into direction Potsdam. Once left the S-Bahn Station Schlachtensee, one literally ‘falls’ into the lake.
The lake is really easy to reach by car, but we would advise to take public transport - parking can be very difficult. You will find free parking but unfortunately not much available space, especially on the weekends.
Berlin Tegel and Berlin Schönefeld are the closest airports to the Schlachtensee.
The Schlachtensee is a lake in the South West of Berlin, in a neighborhood called Steglitz-Zehlendorf. The Schlachtensee is one of the most popular lakesides for walking and for jogging.

A very famous restaurant at the Schlachtensee is ‘Die Fischerhütte’. The food is super tasty and the atmosphere is holiday like, definitely worth a visit. They are open daily from 9AM for Drinks, food is served starting at 10AM. If it doesn’t necessarily need to be directly close to the water there is another restaurant next to the S-Bahn Station as well as there is a Aldi supermarket there.
