    Why Go There?

Visit the beautiful Lake Groß Glienicker See, which is located in Berlin and Brandenburg. Through the entire lake runs the border between Brandenburg and Berlin.

Before 1990, this was the border between East Germany and West Berlin and was marked by buoys.

Today the south shore provides a swimming area, bout launch, beer garden and a large parking area for all recreation-seekers.

The north shore is also recommendable. It's a fine and sunny sandy beach with a bit more quiet than on the south side.

On the lake you can find two green islands, which are a good destination for swimming.

It's also possible to rent paddleboats and rowboats.
