    How to Get There?


      From Essen mainstation use the tram 107 to Gelsenkirchen Hbf. Change at the station 'Abzweig Katernberg' to the bus 348 to Gelsenkirchen and get off at 'Huestraße'. There you will see the exhibition at phaenomania.

      Take the highway A40 and use departure Frillendorf. Drive right on Ernestinenstraße and after 1 km again right on Langemarckstraße. Then you should drive left on Huestraße, again left to the Dornbuschhegge and on the right you will see the Handwerkerpark with parking spaces.

At over 1,500 square meters, the visitor is offered on over 80 stations the opportunity to explore, discover and be amazed. With experiments for all senses the phaenomania is very interesting for everyone. Come and see what your body really notices and how your senses get stimulated.

    Visit the great Zollverein Coal Mine Industrial Complex not far away from Phänomania. Zollverein, built in Bauhaus style, was opened in 1932 and is considered an architectural and technical masterpiece, earning it a reputation as the “most beautiful coal mine in the world”. The Ruhr Museum is interesting for adults and children.


    Essen is known as "Essen - the shopping city". Enjoy the wide variety of shops!

    The Baldeney sea is a big sea in the south of Essen. Hiking, biking or sailing - all is possible.
