Bremen Hauptbahnhof is connected to the IC/ICE network, and thus, reachable easily from all over Germany. The Übersee-Museum is located in direct neighbourhood. Take the "City" exit and head right after leaving the station. At the end of the lawn you'll find the entrance.
You get to Bremen using the Highway A1. Take the exit "Arsten" or "Hemelingen" and follow the signposts heading to "Stadtmitte" (City Center) resp. "Hauptbahnhof" (Main station).
The Bremen Airport is a rather small airport, accessible from other german or european airports. The denomination "City Airport" hits the mark - after 15 minutes you will be in the City Center. Take the Tram No. 6, heading to "Universität" and leave it at Bremen Hauptbahnhof.

Besides the permanent exhibitions about distant continents, gather furthermore infos about the economical history of Bremen, about animals in the forest, about stepping stones of the evolution or "what makes the world go round" (which means issues about climate change, global economy or migration.
Every now and then there are some special exhibitions as well. Former exhibitions were e. g. "Mafia" or "Sitting Bull" or "Voodoo culture in Haiti". The next exhibition will be "China under Mao", starting in 2014.

At the Bremerhaven harbour, climb the 15 meters high observation deck with an astonishing overview over the container-terminal, the car-terminal (Bremerhaven is the largest car reloading point in Europe). Barrier-free and free of charge.
Waterfront Bremen: 90 stores, many brand shops like Tommy Hilfiger, Desigual or G-Star Raw. Located directly at the Weser River in the City Center of Bremen.
Visit the "Town musicians of Bremen": a statue in front of the town-hall shows the donkey, the dog, the cat and the cock, based on a fairytale of Brothers Grimm. It's said that touching the front hooves of the donkey will make wishes come true - this is the reason why the hooves are shining.
