    How to Get There?

      Berlin Hauptbahnhof (Berlin Main Station) is well connected to the ICE network, and reachable easily from all over Germany. From here take a regional train or an urban railway heading to Potsdam Hauptbahnhof. Take the bus No. 605 or 606 and exit at "Luisenplatz/Sanssouci-Süd".

      From northern direction take the "A24/A10", from eastern direction use the "Berliner Ring", from southern direction take the "A9/A10", from western direction take the "A2/A10". Leave the highway at the exit "Potsdam" and follow the signposts to "Schloss Sanssouci". Here the market takes place.

    Between late November and late December (after christmas)

    From late November up to after Christmas the Potsdam christmas market "Blue light brightness" takes place, in direct neighbourhood to the world-famous Sanssouci palace.

    At the Luisenplatz - situated directly besides the Sanssouci park - and in the Brandenburg Street up to the St. Peter and Paul Church in the middle of the Potsdam historic city center everybody can see the blue christmas lights between late November and late December, and a distinctive smell of spices, gingerbread, roasted almonds, bratwurst and hot spiced wine is in the air.

    The Sanssouci palace is situated directly besides the christmas market. It was built according to design drafts of the prussian king Friedrich II. between 1745 and 1747 as a small summer residence in Rokoko style. It was expanded by Friedrich Wilhelm IV. in 1841/42.

    The german capital Berlin is in direct neighbourhood to Potsdam. Here you'll find all your heart desires: Museums, shopping areas, cultural highlights. Tip: the "Kaufhaus des Westens" (KaDeWe) in the Tauentzienstraße at the Wittenbergplatz.
