The Holiday Park Hassloch is one of the most popular theme parks in Germany. Loaded with amusements and fun for people of all ages, the beautiful parkland surroundings make this holiday park a very attractive prospect for visitors to the region.
Located near to the Metropolregion Rhein-Neckar, the original design theme was as a fairy tale park that was based on the Disneyland model. Beginning in the 1970’s there was a systematic regeneration and during this time the park expanded from around 70,000 square metres to over 400,000 square metres.
The Free Fall Tower is 70 metres high and was the first of its kind in Europe. The Big FM Operation GForce is one of the largest roller coasters of its kind. It has a downward slope of 82 degrees and is loved by children and not just adults.
The Superwirbel is a corkscrew ride that will leave you reeling and there is also the Lighthouse Tower which is a chairoplane the gets to over 80 metres high. Children can enjoy Holly’s Kinderland and the River of Thunder whilst the smallest members of the family will be very happy on Little Bees Curl or the Horse Carousel.
When you are tired from the fun and excitement of the rides you can enjoy some of the wonderful shows that are put on at the Holiday Park Hassloch. The Animals Festival and the Hollywood Spectacular which shows stuntmen on water skis are just two of the fabulous events.
The huge scale of the Holiday Park Hassloch means you will be unable to cover it all in one day so why not stay for a few days and soak up the atmosphere of fun. There has are plenty of hotels near to the park and the whole family will enjoy this wonderful place.

The newly renovated Hotel Residenz am Königsplatz has four stars. Facilities include a fitness room, sauna and free Wi-Fi. All the rooms have cable TV and a private bathroom.
The location of the hotel is only 9.82 kilometres from the Holiday Park and it is also near to the Speyer cathedral and the old quarter of the town. Breakfast is served buffet style and the bar always has a supply of light snacks and drinks.
The stunning setting of the Hotel Sägmühle makes it a fine choice for visitors to the Holiday Park Hassloch. It is just 4.52 kilometres from the park and the accommodation is housed in a former mill that is surrounded by forests and meadows.
In the restaurant at this three star hotel you can choose regional meals made with ingredients that are all locally sourced. The outside has large grounds and there is a Mediterranean courtyard where you can enjoy relaxing with a drink. With only 27 rooms, the service here is always friendly and personal.
By Air
The distance from Frankfurt airport to Speyer is 92.6 kilometres. Nevertheless, it is an easy trip to reach Speyer which is close to the Holiday Park Hassloch. Using the trains, shuttle or driving you can reach the Holiday Park in less than three hours.
By Train
A train leaves every hour from Frankfurt airport to Mannheim main station. Change to a regional train S82501 or S82502 for Haßloch Bahnhof. This takes you to within 10 kilometres of the Holiday Park. There is a regular bus to the park that leave three times each day.
By Road
Using the A67 and A6 motorways to get to Speyer, take the B39 for your final part of the journey to the Holiday Park. The total journey time is under three hours. Parking is freely available.
Interesting Places To See
Just 10 kilometres from the Holiday Park is the Domhof, a local brewery where you can enjoy beer and a delicious meal. The Alsace Flammkuchen is a bratwurst with sauerkraut or there is the Saumagen, a special Palatinate sausage. In the summer you can sit out in the lovely beer garden and listen to live music.
The Largest Barrel In The World
There is something different to see at Bad Dürkheim, the Dürkheim Large Barrel which measures 13.5 metres in diameter and has a volume of 1.7 million litres. Inside the barrel is a restaurant where you can take lunch or dinner. The largest wine festival in Germany is held at a station in front of the barrel and there is also the Wurstmarkt (sausage market) where you can buy the wonderful German speciality that everyone loves.
