One of the most interesting walks starts at the train station and follows the road through a pedestrianised area and the cycle tunnel to Fürstenwalde North. Take the road through Trebuser Straße and when you reach Hegelstraße go past the Catholic School. Turn left and after 500 metres you will reach Birds Way (Vogelweg).

The Birds Way Paths

The Amselweg (Blackbird Way) goes to the Palatine Meadows and this ultimately leads you to the Trebuser Lake. Here you can take some refreshment and have a swim. Or take some rods and spend some time fishing.

The rest of the route is signposted until you reach Trebus and then continue on the North end of the lake until the Amselweg meets the Birkenweg (Birch Way). The road then leads you up to Hegelstraße and back to the station. The whole route takes in 14 kilometres so go well stocked with drinks and food.
